Canada held first all-program Express Entry draw of June. It has invited 4800 candidates to apply for Permanent Residency. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for the draw remains 486.
The candidates are invited under all three Express Entry programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP),
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) &
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

Express Entry category-based selection draws expected to begin this summer
IRCC had announced new category-based selection criteria for Express Entry candidates on May 31.
The six new categories will target candidates with specific attributes in the occupations.
- healthcare
- science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
- trades, such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors
- transport
- agriculture and agri-food
The final category will invite candidates with French Speaking abilities. The category based draws are expected this summers. The candidates who are expecting the ITA in the targeted draws must be in Express Entry pool. The candidates who will meet the category requirements will be invited on the basis of scores.
IRCC will continue to hold all program draws and program-specific draws as per the requirement.
