Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream

The Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream comes under Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) that allows the skilled trades worker having work experience in an eligible trade to settle as a permanent resident in the province through the Federal Express Entry system.

Under this stream, candidates do not need a job offer to apply but must meet all the federal and provincial requirements.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible under the OINP Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream, candidates must:

  • Have a valid profile in the federal Express Entry pool;
  • Be eligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC);
  • Indicate an interest in immigrating to either Ontario or “All Provinces and Territories”, as designated in the Express Entry profile; and
  • Have received a Notification of Interest from Ontario through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Express Entry online account.
