Alberta PNP Draw: 400 New Applications Invited

On February 16, Alberta Provincial Nominee Program has issued invitations for 400 Express Entry candidates under PNP draws.

The minimum score required for the latest draw is 340. All the candidates who had applied received an automatic 600 points by holding a nomination from PNP.

Alberta’s Immigration Department has announced that the province would be changing its name to Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), and adding two new immigration streams called:

• Rural Renewal Stream
• Rural Entrepreneur Stream

The province is also changing the names of its three existing entrepreneur streams:

• The International Graduate Entrepreneur Immigration Stream to Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
• The Foreign Graduate Start-Up Visa Stream to Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
• The Self-Employed Farmer Stream to Farm Stream

The eligibility criteria for all the streams remain the same.

Alberta Express Entry Stream

This stream allows the AINP to nominate a limited number of qualified candidates from the Federal Express Entry Program.

Eligibility criteria

• Your Express Entry profile must be active in the Federal Express Entry Pool.
• You must meet the eligibility criteria of any one of the federal immigration programs- FSWP, FSTP, or CEC.
• You must intend to live and work in Alberta permanently.
• You must have work experience in an occupation that supports the economic development and diversification goals of the province.
• You must have a minimum CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of at least 300.

Increases:

• You have a full-time job in Alberta or previous work experience in the province.
• You have completed your graduation from a post-secondary educational institution in Canada.
• You have a blood relative (parent, sibling, or child) who is a PR or citizen of Canada living in Alberta.
