Who Can Apply for FSTP?
To qualify for the FSTP, you must:
- Have at least two years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the last five years.
- Possess a valid job offer for at least one year OR a certificate of qualification from a Canadian authority.
- Meet the minimum language level (CLB 5 for speaking and listening, CLB 4 for reading and writing).
- Intend to live outside the province of Quebec.
Eligible Skilled Trades
FSTP recognizes trades under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) in major groups such as
- Industrial, electrical, and construction trades
- Maintenance and equipment operation trades
- Chefs, cooks, butchers, and bakers
- Technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture, and production
How to Apply for Canada PR through FSTP
- Take a Language Test (IELTS/PTE) :You must prove English or French language proficiency.
- Get Your ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) :Validate that your education meets Canadian standards.
- Create an Express Entry Profile :Submit your details in the Express Entry system and get ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
- Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) :If you score among the top candidates, you’ll receive an ITA from IRCC.
- Submit Your PR Application :Carry all your supporting documents, such as your work experience proofs, certificates, and police clearance.
