Canada Issues 4,000 ITAs in CEC-Based Express Entry Draw with CRS Cut-off of 516

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) targeted Express Entry draw on June 23, 2026, issuing 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residence. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was set at 516.

What is the CEC? The Canadian Experience Class is an Express Entry stream for individuals who already have at least 12 months of skilled work experience in Canada within the last 3 years. It is one of the fastest pathways to PR for those already living and working in Canada on a work permit. CEC draws typically have lower CRS cut-offs than PNP draws, as candidates do not receive the 600-point provincial nomination bonus.

With 4,000 invitations issued, this is a significantly larger draw than recent PNP rounds — offering a major opportunity for temporary foreign workers and international graduates already in Canada. A CRS of 516 is accessible for many skilled workers, particularly those with strong language scores, Canadian education, or a valid job offer.

Candidates who receive an ITA have 60 days to submit their complete permanent residence application to IRCC.

What this means for applicants: If you are working in Canada on a work permit with at least 12 months of skilled experience, this draw is a major opportunity. Check your CRS score and ensure your Express Entry profile is active and fully updated.
