Canada Issues 2,000 ITAs in CEC Express Entry Draw — CRS Cut-off Holds Steady at 517

IRCC conducted a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) Express Entry draw on July 7, 2026, issuing 2,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) with a minimum CRS score of 517 — virtually identical to the previous CEC draw on June 23 (CRS 516). This is the second CEC draw in under two weeks, confirming IRCC's strong and sustained focus on retaining skilled workers already in Canada.

The CEC stream requires at least 12 months of skilled Canadian work experience (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) within the past 3 years. Unlike PNP draws, no provincial nomination is needed. Key CRS boosters include CLB 9+ language scores, Canadian education, a valid job offer, and a sibling in Canada who is a citizen or PR. Candidates have 60 days from receiving an ITA to submit a complete PR application.

What this means for applicants: If you are working in Canada with a CRS score around 517+, you are consistently competitive in CEC draws. Ensure your Express Entry profile is active, language scores are valid (2-year expiry), and all documents are ready.
