IRCC has finally revealed the number of candidates invited to each Express Entry program draws on July 6 & 20.
On July 16, IRCC held the Express Entry draw after 18 months in which it invited 1500 immigration candidates to apply for permanent residency. The draw had a CRS score of 557, which is quite high.
IRCC has confirmed that the candidates who are eligible for FSWP, PNP & CEC are invited for the same. It has given priority to only CEC candidates who are eligible for more than one program as well as who is eligible for both FSWP & CEC or all three programs because the candidates from this program do not need to have proof of funds to apply.
Following is the number of invitations invited for the programs:
Express Entry Program | July 6 Draw (CRS Score 557) | July 20 Draw (CRS Score 542) |
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) | 700 | 764 |
Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) | 205 | 417 |
Canadian Experience Class (CEC) | 595 | 569 |
Total | 1500 | 1750 |
The CRS scores would not have been high if the FSTP candidates were eligible for other programs as well.
For the explanation, IRCC has said that the more ITA’s are issued, the more CRS score requirement would go down. It will continue to invite applications for all three programs to meet the immigration targets for the year 2023.
